The company principals have more than twenty years of expertise in analog and digital design and manufacturing of audio equipment and commercial control systems.

Great River co-founder, Dan Kennedy, first began designing microphone preamplifiers to solve noise problems associated with recording orchestral music using ribbon microphones. His perseverance and passion have yielded product designs that are extremely quiet and transparent, without sacrificing the high level of musicality and flexibility necessary for all musical genres.
